  Baptism, the Eucharist, and the sacrament of Confirmation together constitute the "sacraments of Christian initiation, whose unity must be safeguarded. It must be explained to the faithful that the reception of the sacrament of Confirmation is necessary for the completion of baptismal grace.

  Sacramental Preparation
  
  Preparation for this sacrament takes place during the 7th and 8th-grade years.  Periodic parent and sponsor evening meetings are held to help the adults become aware of the elements of the program and to ensure their participation in the sacramental preparation.  Confirmation is celebrated at the end of the 8th Grade year.
